Spread Your Wings
with Wingman

“Spread Your Wings was an amazing event! The power of art to bring people together, as a calming, healing piece, is truly unbelievable.”
— Joel Pardalis, Educator and Wingman Ambassador

“Spread Your Wings with Wingman” was an uplifting, beautiful event that united kids, teachers and the community in painting nearly 300 feathers that were integrated into a 101 x 50” professionally finished, mixed media angel wing sculpture.

Each feather was incredibly special…and, two words were painted over and over again on the feathers: “Hope” and “Kind,” a moving testimony to what our children hold in our hearts – and, would like to share with the world.

“The community coming together to paint and create unique representations of themselves was an experience that we haven’t seen thus far with the Wingman program. The power of art to bring people together, as a calming, healing piece, is truly unbelievable. The final product that Elizabeth created from the individual feathers is the perfect metaphor for community; unique pieces coming together to make something beautiful. This was a great experience working with Elizabeth to put the Spread Your Wings Project in action in our school and in our community.”

Angel Wings and Educators

As a separate team-building event, we also created a smaller set of wings with and for the teachers of Fairfield Middle School. It was incredibly uplifting to engage 50 educators in the joy of creativity. And, even more beautiful to see that, through this process they expressed messages like “Dream” “Create, and “Inspire.”

Spread Your Wings with Wingman - Teacher Wings

My husband, artist Bobby Jacobs, donated a beautiful angel wing sculpture to Fairfield Middle School in honor of the event.

“Spread Your Wings with Wingman,”
Hand-carved fossilized bluestone sculpture
48″ x 30″ x 3″

The plaque on the sculpture reminds us that, “no small act of kindness goes unnoticed and to embrace each other as unique individuals.”
We are honored to have united missions with Wingman.
